4th October World Animals Day

It’s almost Worlds Animals Day and to threat your dog with a great toy, I post this older post of mine again! It doesn’t cost much time and money:)

To make this great toy for your dog I used, 12 strings t-shirt yarn from about 1,2 yard long.

You devide the string in four parts from 3 strings and start the scoubidou technic, one I did with the round technic

and one with the straight technic

Crochet shorts

The last couple of months I have been busy, on and of, making these crochet short for my daugther. Luckily they where finished in time, because only last week was the first day we could go to the beach.

I bought the pattern on Etsy, I made some adjustments because my daughter likes to wear her pants low. It’s not an easy pattern, but for skilled crochet artists a job they will manage.

It’s made with such a very thin yarn and needle that it almost looks like lace.

My daughter is very happy with these beautiful crochet shorts

re-styled jeans shorts

My daugther and I re-styled her shorts that became to tight around her legs. It was here idea and I did the sewing part. You can also do this with long jeans but you have to cut them to short pants first.

You need a piece of lace that’s about 12cm wide and 30 cm long, I bought mine HERE and your shorts

Cut a piece out of your short on both sides, like shown in the picture

With a sewing machine you attach the lace to the pants

With a pin you ruffle the edges

And ready!!

It only takes ten minutes , and the result is great

spool knitted bracelet nr2

To make this spool knitted bracelet you’ll need:

lurex thread
wire 14cm
a knitting spool (the ones in the pictures you can buy HERE)
a spier

Knit with the spool and the lurex thread a strand of 12 cm long

Cut a 14cm long piece of the wire, and attach the wire back and forth

Rose tea light

A great table decoration for weddings or a romantic dinner at home;)

This is a very easy DIY tutorial on how to make this great flameless rose tea light!

I got inspired by this tutorial from Smart School House, only they used spoons and because I didn’t have them I tried without.

What you’ll need is a glue gun, a fabric rose and a flameless tea light.Cut the leaves from the rose and start with glueing the inside of the rose first to the tea light and then you add another layer till your petals are finished

and done!!!

Fun frog

This tutorial from Stins, it’s so much fun and so easy that I had to share this with you.

Mirjam and her son created this clicker-frog toy together: he had the idea of making the click sound with a jar lid and together they thought it might be fun to make a crochet frog of it. Super simple!! In Dutch the word for “frog” is “kikker”, so they called this design: klikker!

spool knitted bracelet nr2

For this bracelet you’ll need:

lurex thread
silver colored wire
knitting spool ( the ones in the pictures you can buy HERE)
a jewelry plier

Knit with the spool and lurex yarn a strand, 12cm long

Finish the threads on the knitted strand.

Cut a piece of 14cm from the wire and attach it on both sides of the knitted strand, back and forth.

And ready:)

Spool knitted bracelet

I love the french knitting dolls, but I’m often wondering what to do with al the strand, so I made this tutorial. This is also a great tutorial for kids

You’ll need a french knitting doll, the one in the picture I bought here. 3 colors yarn, the one I used is acryl and some electric wire.

First make a strand and than you put the wire in the strand (see picture)

Close the ends and put the bracelet through each other, and this is the result:)

Knitted bag tutorial

To make this bag I used 1 skein The shirt Yarn (about 800 gram) which you can buy here, a pair of bag handles which you can buy here a pair of knitting needles nr 17 and a 10mm thick crochet hook.

Cast on 40 stitches and work in garter stitch till your work measures about 35 inch, cast of

Fold your work and close the sides with single crochets, leave the top open but to make your work look better, I did single crochets there to

The only thing you have to do now is, putting the bag handles on your bag.

That’s it!!
